Consumer Action - Take Action: The Television Consumer Freedom Act of 2013
The Television Consumer Freedom Act of 2013 (S. 912) would give Americans more control over their viewing options and their monthly cable bills by providing them with the option to buy television channels individually (“a la carte”). Authored by Senator John McCain (R-AZ), the bill is co-sponsored by Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT).
