help put an end to ID theft

Are you tired of hearing about companies that fail to keep sensitive data about customers safe?  55 million Americans were put at higher risk of identity theft last year because their personal information was lost or stolen from companies with lax data security practices. 

I just sent an email to lawmakers in Congress urging them to require companies to notify consumers that they might be at risk of identity theft because of a lapse in security and to enact other safeguards to provide us with stronger protection against such fraud.   I hope you will do the same.
