Congenital Rubella Syndrome is a little known problem, but is NOT "little" in scope in regards to those whose lives are impacted by this insidious disorder or disease. The later in life onset of manifestations start creeping in, then start snowballing with devastating effects.
Bringing up Congenital Rubella Syndrome to those in the Medical field is a mixed bag, usually you get blank stares, and a response of "What's that?".
The day that Congenital Rubella Syndrome is recognized by the Medical Field as a serious problem that needs study, and the people that have it need treatment and help, will be a very good day indeed.
Also, a little side note: In my opinion: I'd love to see this Wikipedia page updated with more information.
